Stewardship Policy

OUR GOAL
To promote and educate pesticide applicators on the continued safe use of Card-O-Vap 8™ / VAP-X™ / Food Plant 5-1™ / Pyre-X™ used in accordance with label directions, and all federal and state regulations.

OUR POLICY
Cardinal Professional Products will implement the following procedures with all purchasers and/or applicators of Card-O-Vap 8™ / VAP-X™ / Food Plant 5-1™ / Pyre-X™ purchased from Cardinal Professional Products or from their Dealers.

OUR POLICIES

✓ Cardinal Professional Products will communicate the Stewardship Policy to all purchasers of Card-O-Vap 8™/ VAP-X™/Food Plant 5-1TM/Pyre-X™.


✓ All individuals responsible for the application of Card-O-Vap 8™/ VAP-X™/Food Plant 5-1™/Pyre-X™ (QAC, QAL, PAC, Certified or Licensed applicators) and those performing the application must participate in the Stewardship training program. It is the responsibility of the ownership or management, to make certain the responsible parties attend or are presented the Stewardship program. This training will include:

  • All required safety training for Card-O-Vap 8™/ VAP-X™/Food Plant 5-1™/Pyre-X™.
  • Proper use of respiratory and other safety equipment required for the application of Card-O-Vap 8™/ VAP-X™/Food Plant 5-1™/Pyre-X™.
  • Distribution and review of all Card-O-Vap 8™/ VAP-X™/Food Plant 5-1™/Pyre-X™ specimen labels and SDS’s.

✓ Cardinal Professional Products will verify that all purchasers of Card-O-Vap 8™/VAP-X™ requiring detection equipment (as required by the label, such as Dräger tubes or other colorimetric tubes capable of detecting Card-O-Vap 8™/VAP-X™ at or below PEL levels) have such equipment and are functioning properly. The owners of all detection equipment are responsible for maintaining proper care of the equipment and colorimetric tubes are within the expiration date.


✓ All purchasers and/or applicators of Card-O-Vap 8™/ VAP-X™/Food Plant 5-1™/Pyre-X™ purchased from Cardinal Professional Products, or their Dealers will permit any Cardinal employee to observe application activities to validate good stewardship of the product.
In the event a purchaser/applicator:

  • Applies the product illegally, or not in accordance with the label, or
  • Does not use the required safety equipment, or
  • Does not use the supplied application equipment from Cardinal, or
  • Does not use the appropriate monitoring equipment when required, or
  • Does not comply with any Federal, State, or local regulations, then.

Cardinal Professional Products reserves the right to discontinue the sales of any pesticide product until the purchaser/applicator has shown that they can perform applications in full compliance with the terms of this agreement.

2024 Card-O-Vap 8™/VAP-X™/Food Plant 5-1™ /Pyre-X™ Stewardship Policy

I agree to the conditions and terms of the Cardinal Professional Products Stewardship Policy. Failure of the purchaser/applicator to actively support this policy may result in Cardinal Professional Products terminating the purchaser/applicator’s right to purchase.
